Autumn in New York

Walkway over the Hudson

Just over 1 mile long and 200 feet over the Hudson River, this former railway line was taken out of service in 1974 and in 2009, it reopened as the longest pedestrian bridge in the world (until 2016), connecting Highland, NY on the west side of the river to Poughkeepsie, NY on the east side.

Manitoga - Russell Wright Design Center
Built on the site of a former rock quarry in Garrison, NY, Russell Wright, an industrial designer whose plates and houseware designs we are all familiar with, whether we know it or not, had his home constructed into the rock; house was completed in 1961.

Storm King Arts Center
Arrived at 10am before the crowds, rented bikes, and rode all around this 500-acre sculpture park on an unseasonably warm fall day in New Windsor, NY.
